Prepare for the ALTA Exam (MSLE Certification)
The ALTA Competency Exam Review Class at the Springfield Center for Dyslexia and Learning is designed to help trainees confidently prepare for the Academic Language Therapy Association (ALTA) Competency Exam for MSLE (Multisensory Structured Language Education).
This course is ideal for individuals completing Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) training who are preparing to sit for the ALTA exam.
ALTA Exam Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the ALTA Competency Exam for MSLE, candidates must:
- Complete all Dyslexia Therapy Training, including
- Take Flight Introductory Coursework
- Take Flight Advanced Coursework
- Apply for the exam within:
- Minimum: 2 years from the start of training
- Maximum: 5 years after completing CALT training
ALTA Exam Cost and Membership
- ALTA Competency Exam Fee: $180
(Includes current-year ALTA membership) - Annual CALT Dues: $75
After successfully passing the exam:
- Your candidacy is reviewed by the ALTA Membership Committee
- Upon approval, you will receive confirmation of eligibility
- Once membership fees are processed, you will receive:
- Official ALTA membership notification
- Your certification registration certificate
